Vertex Manufacturing is now a fully owned subsidiary of PrinterPrezz. Vertex will continue to operate substantially as it does today, however as one of PrinterPrezz's portfolio companies.
The combination of PrinterPrezz and Vertex Manufacturing brings together the complementary strengths of two innovative teams in the advanced manufacturing space. This transformative event will allow customers across all advanced manufacturing industries to benefit from best-in-class proprietary technologies, IP, and workflows and enhance supply chain resilience with independent facilities in California and Ohio.
During the past year, Vertex and PrinterPrezz have been in a strategic relationship. As this relationship has developed, both parties realized that there is a unique opportunity to integrate teams to create something extraordinary and transformative, leveraging the strengths of each organization to create an entity that can accelerate overall growth and opportunities much faster than if each tried to do this on their own.

The PrinterPrezz Silicon Valley headquarters will continue to focus on medical devices, leveraging in-house FDA regulatory expertise, clinician-driven design and development, and innovative additive manufacturing and nanotechnology solutions. The Fremont, California facility will continue to maintain all requirements for medical device manufacturing including ISO 13485:2016 and FDA 21 CFR 820.
Vertex Manufacturing will continue to support all advanced manufacturing industries including medical, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, and consumer goods industries. The Cincinnati, Ohio facility will also maintain all of its certifications including ISO 13485:2016 and SAE AS9100:2016. The Cincinnati facility remains and will continue to be fully ITAR compliant and registered.
With this new agreement, a new post-processing development facility will be added to PrinterPrezz Silicon Valley. This development facility will house many of the core fundamental post-processing technologies mastered at Vertex Manufacturing relevant for medical devices and introduce and validate new approaches as well. This development facility will enable small-scale prototyping volumes with accelerated turnaround times while also simplifying process transfer to the full-scale production capabilities at Vertex Manufacturing in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Vertex Manufacturing will expand its current facility with an additional 50,000 square feet to support the installation of additional capital equipment to support its existing customers and take on significantly more work as well as support the increasing demand in the medical space.
In addition to making these capital investments, this agreement gives all customers full access to the aggregate intellectual property, additive design, advanced latticing, and nanotechnology capabilities of both teams.
No significant changes to company leadership are expected. Greg Morris will continue to serve dual roles as PrinterPrezz Chief Technology Officer and retain the lead executive position for the Vertex Manufacturing facility.
No current jobs at either site will be impacted and no current employee will be asked to relocate geographically. Workforce expansion is anticipated to support the growth of the manufacturing facilities in the coming months and years.
Yes. Vertex Manufacturing’s strategic objectives remain as they exist today and we will continue to serve the markets we are currently in (medical, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, and consumer goods industries) and expand into new markets.
PrinterPrezz and Vertex Manufacturing are now a single company. For customer convenience, all medical device services, regardless of geographic location will fall under the PrinterPrezz brand while all non-medical projects will fall under the Vertex Manufacturing brand.
The terms of this acquisition are confidential. Though PrinterPrezz has acquired Vertex Manufacturing as a fully-owned subsidiary, it is also accurate to describe this event as a merger and marriage of equals that brings out the best of both teams under a single company.
